Crown Hill Park … the Work Begins!

Preliminary work has begun on the future Crown Hill Park! Seattle Public Utilities has begun to install the water service for our new park. Workers were spotted this morning (April 11th) on 14th Ave NW, near the South end of the Crown Hill Center making a street cut and excavation. Pipes, gaskets, flanges were then handed down into the hole by SPU workers as onlookers (and their dogs) exchanged greetings, and arranged for a dog adoption (of a really cute 15 week old puppy). Thanks to Catherine Weatbrook for the photographs.

Crown Hill Center Volunteers Needed

Summary: The Crown Hill Center needs as many people as possible between now and April 11 at noon to pledge volunteer hours over the next year.  This is for funds matching  towards replacing the west wing roof.  Even an hour is a huge help because in part of the scoring for this grant is the number of volunteers we engage.   Please email your name, an email address, number of hours pledged for the next year, and any particular task with which you’d like to help to Catherine.Weatbrook@gmail.com

Besides pledging hours, please forward this to your groups and members and friends.   Thank you for your pledges and helping quickly spread the word!
