Fire Station 35 Ground-breaking, August 21st, 2009

Fire Station 35 at 8729 15th Ave NW will be demolished to make way for a brand new fire station. The building is currently home to an engine company and a “reserve engine”. It was originally built in 1920, and is in need of replacement. The citizens of Seattle passed the Fire Facilities and Emergency Response Levy in November 2003 to fund the upgrading, renovation, and replacement of 32 fire stations across the city, including Fire Station 35.  The new station will be two stories, have bays for 3 vehicles, and will be completely up to date with the latest seismic safety codes.
