Halloween on Holman

Not into the night time trick-or-treat scene? The businesses of the Carkeek Plaza (the shopping center with QFC) and Holman Road Square just across the street will be hosting a festive trick-or-treat event on Halloween.

1 PM – 4 PM

  • Merchants will be supplying treats for costumed kids
  • Costumed adults will help people crossing the busy Holman Rd at the 6th Ave NW signalled crosswalk
  • Stores will be running specials or sales
  • Photographer
  • Face and nail painting by Karin’s Beauty Supplies
  • Complimentary Chair Massage by Elements Therapeutic Massage
  • Grand Prize drawing at 3:45 PM

Halloween Hoedown on Crown Hill!

Our friends at Sustainable Crown Hill are at it again. They’ll be reprising their fabulous potluck and treasure hunt from  past years, and they’ve thrown in a new twist with an old time family dance (don’t worry if you’ve got 2 left feet or don’t dance … these folk will have you dancing in no time at all). Come on out, meet some neighbors at the potluck, get your feet moving, then have a blast with the flashlight treasure hunt. Costumes are encouraged!

Sustainable Crown Hill and the North Seattle Lapidary and Mineral Club have teamed up with caller Sherry Nevins and local musicians Jerry Berger, Suzanne Girardot, and Glenn Dudley to create an all ages costume dance followed by a flashlight treasure hunt for rocks (obsidian, petrified wood, geodes, jade…)

Highlights:
Potluck Meal at 5:30 PM – finger foods, leave the nuts at home!
Old Time Family Dance 6:00 to 7:00 PM
Flashlight Treasure Hunt 7:00 to 7:30 PM

Sustainable Crown Hill supports waste reduction (bring plates, cups, utensils)
Suggested Donation: $2 per person/ $5 per family
