Crown Hill Garage Sale Wrap-up

July 24th, 2010 saw our most successful neighborhood garage sale to date. We had 56 participating sales, including a few in Lower Crown Hill (otherwise known as close to downtown Ballard). It looked like everybody was having a good time in the fabulous sunny weather (high temperature of 77 F on my weather station).

Crown Hill’s normally wide and fast streets took on a decidedly pedestrian friendly atmosphere as pedestrians, baby strollers and bikes slowly made their way from sale to sale.

Prices ranged from ridiculously low to reasonable. Most sellers were amicable to a fair amount of negotiation. By 3 PM a number of sales turned into free sales, and others were hauled off to the Goodwill or Value Village.

Thanks to all (buyers and sellers) for making this sale so successful.
