This is an opportunity for public input and for all of us to have a hand in shaping the future of our new park. To follow developments on this at the Parks Dept website: http://www.seattle.gov/parks/projects/crown_hill/
North Beach Combined Sewer Overflow Project Meeting
Puget Sound Beaches Combined Sewer Overflow Projects Update
This is an update from King County on the Puget Sound Beaches Combined Sewer Overflow projects. Since we met with you in May 2009, the CSO Beach Projects team has selected a range of alternative means for CSO control in four Puget Sound Beach communities: Barton (Fauntleroy community in West Seattle), Murray (Morgan community in West Seattle), Magnolia and North Beach. These CSO control projects will help manage peak flows from areas connected to King County’s CSO facilities and limit discharges of untreated stormwater and sewage into Puget Sound. We have developed three alternatives for each project area. To learn more about this range of alternative means, and our progress so far, please visit our website at:
www.kingcounty.gov/CSOBeachProjects
We will hold four public meetings in March 2010 to propose these alternatives and hear public input and questions. We invite you to attend and to distribute this meeting schedule to you agency’s listserv.
